Mandatory Notice — Read Before Distributing This Report

All findings in this report are preliminary field observations only. No forensic product authentication has been conducted. The designation 'Elevated IP Risk' means observations appear inconsistent with official licensing indicia — it is not a confirmed legal determination of infringement or unlawful conduct. Qualified legal advice is required before any enforcement action. This report does not constitute legal advice. 1.1  Audit Scope and Method

A structured physical retail audit was conducted on 10 April 2026 across four shopping centres in Melbourne's south-east corridor by Remi Schauder (Stygia), prepared for review by Merchantwise Group, the Australian licensing representative for K-Pop Demon Hunters (KDH), a Netflix original property.

The survey comprised: physical walk-through of casual and permanent retail tenancies; visual identification of products bearing KDH character likenesses, trademarks, or associated artwork; photographic evidence capture (60 images, 12 stalls); recording of pricing, product codes, packaging language, barcode prefixes, and compliance markings where visible; and observation of stall type, tenure type (permanent vs casual), and proximity to licensed anchor retailers. No products were purchased or removed. All observations are visual and conducted in publicly accessible retail areas.

1.2  Classification System

ClassificationMeaning
Elevated IP RiskProduct bears KDH trademark, character likenesses, or associated artwork with no evidence of official licensing indicia visible during field observation.
Status UnconfirmedProduct warrants further investigation; insufficient evidence gathered at time of observation.

All 59 findings carry an Elevated IP Risk classification. Confidence is High for 58 findings and Medium for one (EHC-04-001).

1.4  Observational Language

The following terms are specifically not used in this report: counterfeit, infringing, illegal, proof of infringement. All characterisations reflect field observations only. The absence of visible licensing indicia during a field observation does not, by itself, constitute confirmation of unlicensed activity. This report is a K-Pop Demon Hunters-specific extract from a broader multi-brand retail audit conducted on the same survey date. Finding and image identifiers are preserved from the original field record and may therefore appear non-sequential where non-KDH observations have been excluded from this report.

Executive Summary

4Supply Chain Groups
1Price Inversion

A structured field audit conducted on 10 April 2026 identified 59 product observations consistent with Elevated IP Risk across 12 retail stalls at four shopping centres in Melbourne's south-east. Every finding carries a stall-level risk designation of Critical or High and a classification confidence of High or Medium. No observations fell below Elevated IP Risk.

The pattern of activity is not consistent with opportunistic or isolated retail behaviour. Seven of twelve stalls are permanent retail stores — observed with KDH merchandise as an established component of their retail offer at the time of the survey. Five operate with dedicated KDH display infrastructure, including purpose-built shelving, illuminated display cabinets, printed price menus, and branded standup units.

Westfield Fountain Gate is the primary area of concern, accounting for six stalls and 43 of 59 total findings across two trading levels. This includes a permanent retail store (Lo Costa House & Party, FTG-04) with a dedicated five-shelf KDH merchandise aisle labelled 'AISLE 1', and a tobacconist/newsagent (TSG Tobacco Station, FTG-05) offering eleven distinct KDH product lines from an illuminated cabinet with a printed price menu. The two casual stalls at Fountain Gate — Sky Gifts (FTG-01) and Sky Gifts 2 (FTG-02) — share a single legal entity, Sky Gifts Pty Ltd (ABN 95 683 900 656), which holds two separate licensed stall positions within the same centre.

Sub-Brand Variation Pattern: Eight distinct alternative brand names were recorded across the network — HUNTRX, HUNTRIX, SAJA BOYS, Fashion Happy Doll, Fashion Girls, MONTIMA, Dulcet Music, and Kingsley. Products under these names carry KDH character likenesses and artwork while avoiding direct use of the registered KDH trademark. The pattern appears independently across multiple unrelated operators, consistent with a common upstream source.

Supply chain markers observed across the network indicate structured international distribution, not domestic manufacture for the Australian market. Indicators span four distinct distribution groups:

One case of price inversion was documented at EHC-04: an unlicensed Huntrix pyjama top ($15.00) sold alongside KDH-branded pants ($10.00), producing a combined price of $25.00 — above the equivalent licensed Kmart KDH pyjama set retailing at $20.00. This weakens any characterisation of the observed products as low-cost market alternatives.

Product breadth spans 17 distinct categories including apparel, collectible figures, blind bags, stationery, electronics, party supplies, headwear, bags, water bottles, and lunch boxes. This range is consistent with a structured commercial supply relationship and a broad product offering. Markdown pricing at FTG-01 and FTG-02 (multiple product lines discounted from original ticket prices) indicates inventory has been present long enough to require clearance, supporting an inference of extended operation prior to the audit date.

Key Intelligence Findings

4.1  Sub-Brand Variation Pattern

The most significant pattern identified across the network is the systematic use of alternative brand names to market products bearing KDH character likenesses while avoiding direct use of the registered KDH trademark. Eight distinct brand name variants were recorded:

Sub-Brand NameProduct Types ObservedStalls
HUNTRXHoodies, t-shirts, pants, blind boxes, stickersFTG-01, FTG-02, DND-09, EHC-04
HUNTRIXT-shirts, pyjama tops, tote bags, notebooks, backpacksFTG-01, FTG-02, FTG-05, EHC-04
SAJA BOYSIndividual fashion dolls (male KDH characters)FTG-01, FTG-02
Fashion Happy Doll3-doll blister/window box setsFTG-01, FTG-05, DND-09
Fashion GirlsIndividual doll boxesEHC-02
MONTIMAPyjama top (character name or sub-brand — unclear)EHC-04
Dulcet MusicIndividual fashion doll with instrumentFTG-06
KingsleyT-shirt label (combined with HUNTRIX branding)FTG-02

The HUNTRX/HUNTRIX cluster appears to reference the officially licensed Kmart HUNTR/X sub-brand, which carries Netflix authorisation. Products using this name may benefit from visual proximity to the licensed product while avoiding explicit use of the KDH trademark. The variant spellings (HUNTRX, HUNTRIX, HUNTRIX+Kingsley) across different operators and print runs suggest either multiple upstream suppliers or variation across print runs. The extension of this pattern to male characters (SAJA BOYS) suggests the variant naming approach extends across the full KDH character roster.

4.2  Dedicated Commercial Fixtures

Three stalls were observed operating with purpose-built, dedicated KDH merchandise infrastructure — a level of investment inconsistent with opportunistic retail:

4.3  Common Operator — Sky Gifts Pty Ltd

Sky Gifts Pty Ltd (ABN 95 683 900 656) operates two distinct casual stall licences at Westfield Fountain Gate: FTG-01 (Sky Gifts, 11 findings, 14 photos) and FTG-02 (Sky Gifts 2, 4 findings, 8 photos). Both stalls carry KDH merchandise. The FTG-02 stall carries the full KDH Pop figure set (6 characters confirmed) and shows evidence of the STIT BOYS packaging variant — a different print run from the same product line at FTG-01 — suggesting the operator has sourced from multiple print runs of the same upstream product. The shared legal entity and coordinated stall footprint at the same centre represents the most structured commercial operation in this dataset.

4.4  Supply Chain Indicators

Multiple packaging and product markers indicate the product pool observed across this network originates from an internationally distributed supply chain, with distribution into Australian retail outside official channels:

4.5  Price Inversion

Observed price inversion at EHC-04 (Ana's Gift): A Huntrix-branded pyjama top ($15.00, finding EHC-04-011) sold at the same stall as KDH-branded fleece/flannel pants ($10.00, finding EHC-04-006). Combined price: $25.00. The equivalent licensed Kmart KDH pyjama set retails at $20.00. The unlicensed product set is priced $5.00 above the licensed equivalent. This is relevant to any assessment of commercial harm or consumer confusion, and weakens any characterisation of the observed products as low-cost alternatives.

Audit date: 10 April 2026  ·  6 stalls observed  ·  43 findings  ·  43 evidence photos

Westfield Fountain Gate is the most heavily affected centre in the survey network, accounting for 73% of all findings. KDH-related products were observed across all four quadrants of the centre's two trading levels, operated by at least four distinct entities. The centre's high foot traffic (~400,000 monthly visitors), anchor tenancy mix including Kmart, Target, and Big W, and casualised mall leasing model create conditions consistent with a high volume of unlicensed merchandise activity across both casual and permanent retail channels.

Sky Gifts (FTG-01) presents as a near-dedicated KDH unlicensed merchandise operation. The stall occupies a casual licence position in the main Fountain Gate corridor (Level 1, opposite Betty's Burgers) and features a branded 'K-POP DEMON HUNTERS — Available Now' standup display unit on the stall front. The product range is among the deepest in the survey network, spanning 11 distinct finding categories including Pop-style vinyl figures, fashion dolls, apparel, blind bags, stationery, water bottles, party supplies, electronics, and stickers.

Sub-brand variants are present: apparel at this stall is sold under the HUNTRX brand (hoodie, pants, t-shirt) and HUNTRIX brand (sticker display), with no Netflix or KDH official licence mark visible on any item. The six-language blind bag packaging (English/German/French/Spanish/Portuguese/Hungarian) at this stall is the clearest supply chain indicator in the dataset, consistent with product originating in a European distribution context before entering Australian retail. Markdown pricing — hoodie reduced from $35 to $20, galaxy pants reduced from $31 to $10 — suggests the stall has been operational with this inventory for an extended period. A KDH Bluetooth speaker and 'Magic Light Show' MP3 product were also observed, extending the range into electronics.

Sky Gifts 2 operates as a second stall under the same legal entity as FTG-01, holding a separate casual mall licence position on Level 1 of Westfield Fountain Gate. The stall carries a partially overlapping KDH range, including the full 6-character KDH Pop figure set (confirmed: #2255–#2260), SAJA BOYS individual dolls, Huntrix stationery, and KDH apparel. The STIT BOYS packaging variant (an observed label reading 'STIT BOYS,' visually resembling the 'SAJA BOYS' branding) on some packaging at FTG-02 suggests the operator has sourced from multiple print runs of the same upstream product. Dedicated DisplayActive — dedicated KDH aisle confirmed
Evidence Photos3

Lo Costa House & Party is a permanent retail store on Level 2 of Westfield Fountain Gate, and contains the most structured KDH merchandise display observed in the entire survey network. The store operates a dedicated KDH merchandise bay — a five-shelf permanent unit labelled 'AISLE 1' — containing the full KDH product range organised by type across the shelves. The investment in dedicated shelving infrastructure is inconsistent with opportunistic or casual stock placement. The KDH range appears to be an established component of the store's permanent retail offer.

Products documented include: a large HUNTRX boxed product ($19.99) on the top shelf; multiple KDH Pop multi-pack sets with character names printed on packaging (Magpie Bird / Zoey / Rumi / Mira / Derpy Tiger; Romance / Abby / Jine / Mystery / Baby); KDH 3-doll sets; 'IQ TOY SERIES' KDH Nintendo Switch-style game product; 'DONT MISS' blister packs; party packs; KDH mini figures in basket bins; and a KDH/Huntrx apparel rack adjacent to the aisle. Additionally, a $0.97 figure blister card (FTG-04-003) carrying the MADE IN CHINA / NO.1503 product code with bilingual English/Spanish warnings represents the lowest observed price point in the entire dataset and is indicative of high-volume, low-cost supply chain sourcing.

Last Observed10 April 2026

TSG Tobacco Station is a permanent tobacconist/newsagent on Level 2 of Westfield Fountain Gate. The presence of KDH merchandise in this retail context is notable: the operator has invested in a dedicated illuminated display cabinet for KDH collectibles, and manages the KDH range using a printed price menu listing products and prices. This operational infrastructure is consistent with the KDH offer being an established component of the store's retail model rather than casual placement.

Nine findings were recorded, spanning soft dolls, Pop-style figures, fashion dolls, t-shirts (three colourways confirmed: black, pink, lavender at $14.99), a hoodie ($19.99), Huntrix canvas tote ($14.99), Huntrix/Huntrx backpack with holographic logo, and blind boxes ($4.99 / 3 for $10). The blind box packaging carries 5 spelling errors — consistent with products sourced outside official channels. The Fashion Happy Doll 3-pack observed here represents the third confirmed location for this rebrand variant across the network (also at DND-02 and FTG-01).

FTG-06   The $2 Shop    High   Permanent store

Westfield FTG, Level 2  ·  Permanent retail store  ·  Operator not identified

The $2 Shop on Level 2 carries ten distinct KDH findings, the second-highest finding count at Fountain Gate. Notable supply chain intelligence at this stall: a KDH doll (FTG-06-003) carries a Gulf Conformity Mark (G-mark) with Arabic-language packaging — a product certified for the Gulf Cooperation Council retail market (UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait) that appears to have entered Australian retail outside its intended distribution channel. A KDH Pop figure (FTG-06-004) carries bilingual English/French text ('VINYL FIGURE / FIGURINE EN VINYLE'), consistent with a North American or Canadian market distribution chain. Apparel at this stall uses Chinese children's sizing (size 130 = 130cm height; size 160 = 160cm height), consistent with Chinese-market sizing not intended for Australian retail. The 'Come and Tame Me Home Quickly' tagline observed on multiple products across the network appears to originate from a direct Chinese-to-English machine translation, consistent with Chinese manufacture.

Lo Costa Minimart carries six KDH findings, including a floor dump display bin of KDH rectangular boxes at $3.99 (one of the lowest price points in the dataset), two KDH Pop multi-pack sets (5-character sets carrying the full cast names on packaging), and — notably — the first KDH-branded headwear observed in the entire survey: KDH baseball caps at $9.99, including a 'Derpy Tiger' character cap. The introduction of headwear as a product category, alongside the floor dump display format, is consistent with diversified inventory at clearance price points.

Dandenong Square presented three stalls with KDH findings across Level 3 (casual pop-up zone) and Level 2 (permanent tenancy). The Level 3 environment hosts a casual mall pop-up area where DND-01 and DND-02 were observed at the time of the survey. DND-09 (Supamart) on Level 2 is the critical stall, operating as a permanent store immediately adjacent to Kmart.

Supamart is a permanent Level 2 store operating immediately adjacent to Kmart at Dandenong Square. This location is commercially significant: the store's proximity to the licensed Kmart KDH range creates direct consumer exposure to both products in the same shopping decision context. The HUNTRX sub-brand is active at this stall, with a $6 HUNTRX t-shirt carrying individually named KDH characters (Mira, Lyontnis, Rumi, Zuey in chibi/cartoon art style) marketed under the 'Kids Clothes 50% OFF NOW' promotional sign — the 'discount' framing compounding the proximity to the $20+ licensed Kmart product.

The Fashion Happy Doll 3-pack at DND-09 (finding DND-09-004) carries a Belgian-registered EAN barcode prefix (540) with bilingual English/French packaging and a European distribution warning, representing the clearest supply chain diversion indicator at this centre. The product is simultaneously confirmed at FTG-01 and FTG-05, making it the most geographically distributed sub-brand variant in the network. KDH blind bags at this stall are displayed alongside Italian BrainRot, Five Nights at Freddy's, and Pokémon blind bags — confirming a multi-brand unlicensed merchandise operation.

6.2  Supporting Stalls: DND-01 and DND-02

Two casual pop-up stalls were observed on Level 3 of Dandenong Square. Neither operator was identified. DND-01 (CTC Dandenong) carries a KDH lunch box ($13) — the same product category and format observed at SVSC-01, indicating the product circulates broadly across the supply network. DND-02 (Unnamed pop-up) presents a multi-brand unlicensed merchandise operation, with KDH product displayed alongside Hello Kitty, Spider-Man, and Bluey items on the same shelf. The KDH bubble/water gun toy at DND-02 carries product NO.331-2 and a barcode prefix of 331, consistent with French/Belgian EAN registration.

Ana's Gift is a permanent store at Endeavour Hills Shopping Centre that carries the largest single-store KDH product range in the entire survey dataset. A full wall display is dedicated to KDH and related products, spanning mini figures/keychains, blind bags, individual character blister packs ('DONT MISS'), sticker sets, a 92PCS stationery set, water bottles, tumblers, full apparel, and HUNTRIX-branded stationery products. Products are displayed across a dedicated pink KDH shelf unit covering the full wall section of the store.

Sub-brand variants are present on apparel and stationery — products sold under HUNTRIX and Huntrx. A new sub-brand variant, 'MONTIMA', was observed on pyjama top packaging (EHC-04-011), which may represent an additional character name or a further sub-brand variant not previously recorded. The price inversion is documented here: the Huntrix pyjama top ($15) + KDH pants ($10) at a combined price of $25 exceeds the equivalent licensed Kmart KDH pyjama set ($20). This is the most commercially significant pricing anomaly in the dataset.

'MADE IN CHINA' is visible on the box lower-left. The Fashion Girls sub-brand label is a variant of Fashion Happy Doll/Fashion Girls observed at other network stalls. Domiso is a permanent store at Springvale Shopping Centre, operated by Domiso Pty Ltd — the only stall in the network outside of FTG-01, FTG-02, and FTG-05 for which a full legal entity and contact details are on record. The operator's contact details were obtained and are recorded in the intelligence database.

The KDH findings at SVSC-01 are notable for their supply chain traceability. Three variants of a KDH A5 spiral-bound notebook ($2.99 each) carry distinct cover artwork (action cover; group/casual cover; dark/dramatic cover) — confirming three different print runs from the same upstream source. All three carry the same traceable SKU: A5XQ41-6601-4 and barcode 6 988987 850280 (prefix 698 — China-registered EAN). This SKU and barcode combination provides an identifiable product reference for supply chain investigation. A KDH plastic lunch box or food container was also recorded, consistent with the product category observed at DND-01, confirming the lunch box product circulates broadly across the supply network.

Recommended Next Steps

The following observations are offered as commercial and operational considerations for Merchantwise Group and Netflix compliance. They do not constitute legal advice. Any enforcement or engagement action should be preceded by advice from qualified IP counsel.

9.1  Priority Operators for Rights-Holder Review

Operator / StallABNBasis for Priority
Sky Gifts Pty Ltd (FTG-01 & FTG-02)95 683 900 656Legal entity confirmed; operating two stall licences simultaneously; 14 findings; dedicated KDH display; sub-brand variants active; extended operation indicated by markdown pricing.
TSG Group Unit Trust (FTG-05)11 746 942 142Legal entity confirmed; permanent Westfield tenancy; illuminated cabinet display + printed price menu = established KDH merchandise offer; 9 findings across 11 product lines.
Domiso Pty Ltd (SVSC-01)22 633 453 906Legal entity confirmed; contact details on record (domisoptyltd@gmail.com / 0452 660 319); traceable product SKU (A5XQ41-6601-4) may assist supply chain enquiry. If Domiso operates additional Melbourne locations, further survey may be warranted.
Lo Costa House & Party (FTG-04)Not identifiedPermanent Westfield store with dedicated 5-shelf KDH aisle ('AISLE 1'). Most structured single-store KDH display in the network. Operator identity requires further verification.
Supamart (DND-09)Not identifiedPermanent store adjacent to Kmart; Huntrx sub-brand variant active; European supply chain markers (Belgium EAN prefix 540). Operator identity requires further verification.
Ana's Gift (EHC-04)Not identifiedLargest single-store KDH range in dataset; price inversion observed; Huntrix/HUNTRIX sub-brand variants active; dedicated wall display. Operator identity requires further verification.

9.2  Supply Chain Intelligence for Further Investigation

9.3  Centre Management Notifications

Where relevant, Westfield Fountain Gate (Scentre Group) and Dandenong Square management may be appropriate recipients of a formal notification of observed IP risk activity within their centre. Casual mall licence operators at Westfield (FTG-01, FTG-02) hold licences granted by Scentre Group; the centre management holds contractual mechanisms that may be relevant to any response. This is a commercial consideration for Merchantwise / Netflix and does not constitute a recommendation to take enforcement action.

Endeavour Hills Shopping Centre management may similarly be an appropriate notification recipient given the dedicated retail operation of Ana's Gift (EHC-04) — the stall with the largest single-store KDH product range in the dataset. Centre management holds contractual leasing mechanisms that may be relevant to any response.

9.4  Audit Refresh Recommendation

This report reflects a single audit date of 10 April 2026. Given that seven of twelve stalls are permanent retail stores, a follow-up survey within 60–90 days would confirm whether the activity is ongoing, escalating, or has changed in response to any rights-holder activity. A refresh audit would also capture any additional stalls not observed in the initial survey and provide time-series data to support any legal proceedings.

Reminder: Mandatory Disclaimer

All findings are preliminary field observations only. No forensic product authentication has been conducted. 'Elevated IP Risk' means observations appear inconsistent with official licensing indicia — not a confirmed legal determination. Qualified legal advice is required before enforcement action.

Evidence Appendix — Field Photography

All photographs were captured by the field auditor during the survey conducted on 10 April 2026. Images are organised by stall and presented in sequence. Photographs are field observation records only and do not constitute forensic product authentication. Images labelled 'Environmental' were taken for environmental documentation purposes and do not correspond to a discrete finding record.

Finding and image identifiers in this appendix are preserved from the underlying field record. Numbering may appear non-sequential because this report reproduces only the K-Pop Demon Hunters subset of a broader multi-brand audit; gaps do not indicate missing evidence within the KDH scope.
